  • Educational Consultants Consortium Iron Sharpening Iron – Iron Sharpening Iron brings teens the skills necessary to gain employment and advance to college or career.
  • Manatee Community Action Agency Teaching our Tots – This voluntary parent education program teaches parents how to engage with their toddlers to build their school readiness skills.
  • Myakka City Community Center Project Smart – Tutors use the I-Ready software to work on individualized strategies for students to improve their reading skills.
  • United Community Centers Base+ – This program designed to prevent Summer Learning Loss and build character combines literacy skills with physical education and self-esteem building.
  • Easter Seals The Lily School for Child Development – Respite care is offered for children with disabilities, offering families the chance to spend a few hours on their own.

Income

  • American Red Cross Disaster Services – Volunteers provide services to families following a devastating tornado, hurricanes, fire or other disaster.
  • Community Coalition on Homelessness Transitional Development Program – This program assists those who are homeless or in danger of becoming homeless by providing case management and financial assistance.
  • Jewish Family & Children’s Services Building Strong Families – Building Strong Families is a homelessness prevention program that supports families in danger of losing their homes.
  • Suncoast Community Capital Corporation Volunteer Income Tax Assistance – VITA is a free tax preparation program offered to anyone earning less than $54,000. It has brought over $500,000 to Manatee County this year alone.
  • Suncoast Partnership to End Homelessness Continuum of Care – Continuum of care ensures that those transitioning away from homelessness are directed to the appropriate agencies and resources that will provide them a stable future.
  • The Salvation Army Sustainability Services – Rent, security deposits and utility bills are paid for clients who can prove need.
  • UnidosNow, Inc. Future Leaders Academy – Students are offered bilingual financial literacy workshops and job training as well as assistance with the FAFSA.
  • United Way 2-1-1 of Manasota Information Referral Program – 2-1-1 is the front line in directing those who have hit a bump in the road with the resources available.
  • Women’s Resource Center of Manatee Project Uplift – Onsite counseling and group wellness classes are provided to the children at Visible Men Academy

  • Family Partnership Center Partners in Education and Support – This programs works with children who are at risk of child abuse and their parents. It provides the resources and counseling needed to secure the security of the children.
  • Gulfcoast Legal Services Legal Aid Services – Legal Aid is provided to victims of domestic abuse, including restraining orders and divorce proceedings.
  • HOPE Family Services, Inc.
    1. Domestic Violence Counseling Program – Counseling and safety planning strategies are provided to the victims of domestic violence.
    2. Emergency Safe Shelter – Funds support the emergency safe shelter available to victims of domestic abuse.
  • Manatee Children’s Services, Inc. Emergency Shelter – Youth care advocates care for children in need of emergency shelter and help facilitate positive growth.
  • Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee
    1. Emergency Family & Baby Baskets – Emergency food baskets are provided to families struggling to afford the cost of food.
    2. Adult Day Care – Nutritional meals and therapeutic services are provided to seniors. Door to door transportation is provided.
    3. Home Delivered Meals – Home delivered meals are provided to seniors across Manatee County, offering not only nutrition but much needed socialization.
